Life Lessons From 26-Year-Old Millionaire Who Paid His Mortgage, Student Loan Debt Thanks To His Investment In Bitcoin, Ether

Guess what? This young investor's early bet on crypto has turned into a fortune, and his story is nothing short of incredible.

Meet Cooper Turley, 26, who's riding high as a newly-minted millionaire, all thanks to Bitcoin and Ether. But before you jump to any conclusions, hear it from Cooper himself.

How It All Started

“I definitely don’t feel like I’ve ‘made it’ by any stretch — there are far more people who are far better off than me in crypto. But I do feel really thankful,” Cooper told CNBC Make It.

This journey of Cooper's? Yeah, it didn't begin in some fancy boardroom. It all started back in his college days when crypto was more of a curiosity.

Imagine Bitcoin was trading at $2,000 and Ether just a few hundred bucks. (Now BTC is close to $37,000 and ETH at $2,045)

Cooper saw the potential goldmine and snatched up both cryptocurrencies.

He didn't just stop at buying and holding. He dove headfirst into DeFi. Sure, it's the Wild West of finance, but brains and bravado can get you far.

Always self-taught, Cooper started lending out his crypto and even doing a bit of risky business, like yield farming.

His advice? "Don’t put in more than you can afford to lose.”

When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Crypto is a rollercoaster!" And you're totally right.

Back in 2017, Cooper watched his networth take a nosedive. But instead of freaking out, he buckled up and doubled-down, especially on Ether. He had a hunch that crypto was more than just money — it had the power to change whole industries, even like music (which he is fascinated about).

"From there, I fell down this rabbit hole of being fascinated by how the technology works," Cooper said.

Cooper's success rubbed off on his parents, getting them excited about crypto. And you know what? It paid off for them, too. In one grand gesture, Cooper turned his crypto into cash and helped his mom wipe out their mortgage of a house.

Crypto Now Pays the Bills

Having hit jackpot city hasn't slowed Cooper down. He's got his fingers in so many crypto pies, advising and investing in projects left and right.

He chuckles, "It’s a running joke at this point that I have an infinite number of jobs in crypto."

His current LinkedIn post shows he is an advisor at Audius, a decentralized community of artists, developers, and listeners.
